A Brief Introduction to Scientific Research, School of Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology

Since the "12th Five-Year Plan", the College has been aiming at the forefront of the development of surveying and mapping geographic information science, adhering to the scientific research concept of "demand-oriented, innovation-driven, feature-led and quality first", based on the west, facing the whole country, serving geology and mines, and actively carrying out theoretical research and technological innovation. Cooperated with National Geodetic Data Processing Center, ESRIChina(Beijing), Xi 'an Coal Navigation Information Industry Co., LTD and other research institutes, enterprises and public institutions to tackle key scientific research, and achieved remarkable results.

(1) Form certain theoretical and technical advantages in the fields of geoid refinement theory and method, geodetic data processing and application, precision engineering and industrial measurement.

(2) Outstanding achievements have been made in the theory and method of digital close-up photogrammetry, in remote sensing image fusion and remote sensing quantitative estimation, and in the research and development and application of digital resource survey and low-altitude photogrammetry system.

(3) In the principle and application of GNSS, the design and development of GPS precision positioning software, mine emergency rescue positioning and other aspects of the new expansion.

(4) Rich achievements have been accumulated in the construction of the geographical framework of mining and underground engineering, mining subsidence and disaster management, mining land reclamation and ecological reconstruction.

(5) Clear disciplinary characteristics have been formed in terms of land use / cover change, geological relic protection and geological park construction, temporal and spatial and temporal evolution of soil humidity in desertification mining areas, desertification soil-plant feedback mechanism and vegetation succession, remote sensing monitoring of geographical conditions, etc.

In the past 5 years, the School of Surveying and Mapping has completed more than 10 high-level research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation, National Support Program and national defense construction projects, 1 provincial experimental teaching demonstration center, 1 provincial engineering center, 2 national awards, 9 provincial and ministerial awards, more than 20 invention patents, 100 academic papers, 16 textbooks and monographs, 8 promotion achievements, and created social and economic benefits of hundreds of millions.
