I. Program Introduction
ChineseLiteratureProgram is a bachelor's programdesignedfor international studentswith a duration of 4 years. Thisprogram aims to foster students to be all-rounders in language and culture, havinggreatChinese proficiency, knowing Chinese culture and conditions well, being able to carry out cross-culture communication and generalacademicresearches in Chinese. Students will choose to take professional courses such as Chinese Literature and Business Chinese according to their interest and personalized development after completing the Chinese language skill courses such as Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing in the first and second yearsof the program.Theywillobtainabachelor's graduate certificateand a bachelor's degreecertificate ofChinese language after completing all courses during the program,earningthe required credits andpassingthe academic dissertation. Graduates will serveingovernment offices, business enterprises, media, cultural and educational institutions in their owncountriesandwork in Chinese language and culture, such as working as translators, journalists, teachers, and civil servantsor work in news, business, enterprise management, etc. in China; orproceed toother programs and degrees at universities in China based on this program.
II. ApplicationRequirements
1. A foreign citizen holding a valid passport;
2. Being 18 - 30 years old and healthy inbodyand mind;
3. With a high school diploma or above;
4. No prior knowledgein Chineseisrequired.
III. ApplicationProcess
(I) Pay the registration fee of RMB 400 Yuan.

VI. Scholarship
Weprovide“XUSTChancellor's Scholarship”for students. Outstanding students will at most be free oftuitionandaccommodation feeand offered theliving allowancesof RMB 1000Yuan/month for 10 months a year based on their performancein the firstacademic year.

IX. Medical Insurance
All international students are required tobuymedical insuranceinMainland Chinaaccording to the regulations issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. Medical insurance fee for every student is RMB 600Yuan/year. Thosewho do notbuy the requiredmedical insurance willnot beenrolled.
X. Accommodation
Thereare two types of rooms (thesingle room and double room)for internationalstudents at XUST.Most rooms are equipped withtheprivate bathroom, air conditioner, TV, desk, closet,etc.There are sharedkitchens,laundry roomsandreception areasin the building. Single room: RMB 6000Yuan/personperyear; double room: RMB 3000Yuan/person per year.
